This appointment booking process is best done by baby’s birth mother or by baby’s father / parent if he/she is either married to the birth mother or in a civil partnership. Other people can book appointments but cannot (except in exceptional circumstances) register the birth themselves. Please be aware that you may be referred to the Middlesbrough Council Registration Staff for further advice.
